You Searched For, What?
Life, Technology November 14th, 2007In between studying today, I checked out my blog statistics for something to do. There is a section called “Search Engine Terms”, which tells you what search strings lead people to your blog. Having a small audience, that section is generally empty.
However, today is another story. Apparently somebody typed in “suppository up my butt at school” in their search engine of choice and found my blog. This leads me to wonder about what they were actually looking for, and also whether or not they found it. Perhaps I’ll never find out.

wow. that’s awesome! i always enjoy that section in my “blog stats” as well. usually it’s something like “mt. siani” “egypt and alexander” and so on. every now and again, however, there is someone who specifically searches for “emilee preble blog.” i love those days. it’s as if somewhere out there, someone is seeking me out…on purpose. yet, maybe it is those rare folks that stumble upon our blogs after searching for odd things (like suppositories) that we gather our most faithful blog readers. kindreds reaching out into the vastness of the internet to find another, similar soul. maybe someone found you. or, maybe they are just a nutter! …it’s most likely the latter.

This is what makes blogging fun… the invisible audience that leaves clues for us to ponder who they are. They’re building a mystery [pardon the Sarah McLachlan]. Which causes me to muster up with even MORE conspiracy theories.
